March 22nd we will be having a church luncheon right after the morning service. Following that will be a Q&A concerning our newly recommended strategic plan. We will end the day with time in prayer together. 

Join the Ladies Monday morning at 9:30 for their book study called, "Trusting God" by Jerry Bridges followed by a luncheon at Pizza Hut at noon. 

Please note our morning service begins at 10:30 on March 15th! There is no Sunday School! Pastor Andrew will be presenting an overview of our new strategic plan.

It is time to start thinking about VBS for the summer! If you can help in any way please plan on attending this meeting so you can learn the theme and get a jump start on it. 

What is it?

• Christian camping is a powerful, exciting opportunity for children to be challenged in their walk with Christ and make new Christians friends but also quite expensive thus potentially making it out of reach for many families. We want to help all students who are serious about it to go! Thus we have created this scholarship.
• A scholarship of up to $200 towards Lake Ann camp for all students going into 4^th-12^th grade

How does it work?

• Participants earn points in four areas
  • Participating in First Baptist Sunday School – 10pts
  • Participating in First Baptist Worship Service – 5pts
  • Participating in First Baptist Awana or Youth Group – 3pts
  • Participating in Memorizing Scholarship Bible Verses – 2pts
• One point=1 dollar
• 10 week program starting February 1 and ends April 5. Early bird registration is due March 15.
• Student can earn a maximum of 200 points/dollars which First Baptist will pay to the camp directly. 

• Its Purpose:

  We have four goals:

  1. To increase participation in our Sunday school program and thereby increase one’s knowledge of God’s Word
  2. To increase opportunities for our students to use their God-given talents in service to the Lord.
  3. To increase one’s summer experience by going to an exciting, energetic Christian Camp
  4. To increase one’s overall pursuit of Jesus Christ and be more like Him in every way!!!!!!!!

What: movie hosted by the fifth quarter

When: January 30th following the basketball game.

Who: 4th grade and up - Note - parents are encouraged to come!!!!

What: We will have pizza, games, a camp promo, bible devotional and an explanation in how we can help make camp affordable. Our goal this year is to send 32 campers!

Churches around the United States gathered to celebrate God's gift of life, commemorate the many lives lost to abortion, and commit themselves to protecting life at every stage. Churches continue to recognize the third Sunday in January as Sanctity of Human Life Sunday.
