• Baccalaureate Service and "513Free" concert

    It will be held at the Newberry High School Bystrom Auditorium. The 6pm service is open to the public and there is no charge to attend. The Baccalaureate program, a celebration of the graduating class, will be led by students from the senior class of Newberry High School and includes worship, special music, a slide show and a time for prayer. Special guest recording artist, "513free," will be providing music during the program. Following the Baccalaureate there will be a reception with an ice cream bar and other deserts for those in attendance. Following the reception, "513free" will perform a full concert beginning at approximately 8pm. This concert is open to the public and there is no charge!

    As part of the Leadership Summit, Northland is hosting an evening with Dr. Albert Mohler. His session will be followed by a concert featuring The Gray Havens. You’re invited to join us for this free event on April 30 at 7:00 pm.

    At the age of thirty-three, Dr. Albert Mohler became the youngest president in the 153-year history of the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. He led the way for the school's transformation into a thriving institution with an international reputation characterized by a passionate conviction for truth. In the process, he became one of the most important and prominent Christian voices in contemporary culture.     The “Give Me an Answer” Wisconsin tour is designed to equip high school and college students with biblical answers to relevant questions about life and faith. Each event will feature musical performances by Boyce College graduate and Grammy-nominated hip-hop artist, Flame. The instruction is aimed at deepening your Christian worldview and developing your understanding of how to interact with non-believers and defend the faith.

    It will be at Water's Edge Church in Marquette, Michigan at 7pm.

    Dan DeWitt (@DanDeWitt) is the dean of Boyce College, the undergraduate school of the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, where he teaches courses on worldview, philosophy, apologetics, and C. S. Lewis. Dan and his wife April live in Louisville, Kentucky, with their four children: Isaiah, Micah, Josiah, and Addilynn Joy. Dan is the author of Jesus or Nothing (Crossway, 2014) and posts regularly on his blog theolatte.com.

    Jonathan Arnold

    Jonathan Arnold currently serves as the Director of Student Life and Professor of Theological Studies at Northland International University. After completing graduate degrees at Dallas Theological Seminary and The University of Oxford, he served as a senior pastor at a small church in Michigan for three years before returning to the academy. He is married to Lindsay and father to four children.

  • Small Group Leadership Training

    Glen Memorial Baptist Church will be hosting a Small Group Leaders Training on Sat. April 18th, from 10:00 to 4:00.
     
    Ken Riley, Executive Director of Lake Ann Camp, will be leading the sessions. Ken is an engaging and interactive teacher. His presentation has been developed from years of counselor training as well as personal experience as a small group leader and Bible teacher.
    This will be a excellent day a training for your current and prospective small group leaders, Sunday School teachers and church leaders.
    The cost is $10/person, which covers lunch and the printed materials. Additionally, if any church would like to contribute toward Ken’s honorarium, we are suggesting a donation of $50 but please do not feel obliged.
