Growth group involvement is one of our main strategies to instruct, counsel and mobilize our church. It is our desire for as many as possible to be in a small community of people who are committed to helping each other grow in Christian maturity and to spreading the gospel into every sphere of life in Newberry.
What is the purpose of growth groups?
Glorifying God through gospel growth and Christian growth.
- Gospel Growth – Those who have received God’s mercy in his Son want all the world to know; therefore these groups are committed to the spread of the gospel into every nook and cranny of Newberry.
- Christian Growth –Christians are to be growing in their knowledge of God, remaining faithful, and submitting to Christ in every sphere of life; therefore these groups are committed to learning and applying God’s Word, lifting one another up before the throne of grace in prayer, training and using God’s gifts to multiply ministry, and supporting and encouraging one another through personal relationships.
